Tamagotchi vs Tomodachi Life

Tamagotchi and Tomodachi Life sound similar, but they offer very different kinds of play. One centers on caring for a virtual pet; the other follows a whole island of custom Mii residents.

Tamagotchi and Tomodachi Are Different

Tamagotchi is Bandai's virtual-pet series. You feed and care for a digital creature, usually through a dedicated toy or a related game.

Tomodachi Life is Nintendo's social simulation. You create Mii residents, place them on an island, and watch friendships, arguments, dreams, and strange events unfold.
